Job Title: Grant Writer
Job Summary/Basic Function:

Reports to the Vice President of Industry and Community Resources, responsible for grant writing/development, including but not limited to identifying federal and state resources and grant opportunities that match Brazosport College initiatives and strategic goals by conducting and evaluating research and working with internal and external personnel to develop grant proposals. Researches grant and resource opportunities through electronic and print materials and makes referrals for departmental considerations. Assists in developing resources and administrative tools to facilitate grant seeking activities. Identifies, collects, analyzes, and coordinates with others to identify data needs for resource development projects. Produces grant applications, collaborative proposals and other appropriate resource development materials. Performs technical, analytical, and professional tasks with particular emphasis on the collection, interpretation, assessment of feasibility and alignment with Brazosport College’s strategic goals and initiatives, aggregation and evaluation of data, and the incorporation of data into proposals.

Pay Rate: $4,734-$4,957 monthly ($27.31-$28.60 hourly); excellent benefits

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university; expertise and experience in grant writing and development and a proven track record of funded grants; knowledge of federal rules and regulations as related to grant funding; excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to work in a team environment ; other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution; exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration.
