Job Title: Part Time Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Instructor (Pool)
Job Summary/Basic Function:

Reports to the Division Chair of Physical Sciences and Process Technologies; teaches classes in safety, health, and environmental management using traditional and alternative delivery methods. *CCPI

Pay Rate: $575 per semester credit hour ($1,725-3 semester credit hr. course; $2,300-4 semester credit hr. course); or $26 per contact hour
Position Type: Part Time Credit

Physical Demands:

Standing, sitting, walking, carrying, handling, fine dexterity, vision, hearing, talking; ability to drive to off campus locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Safety, Health, and Environmental Management. Bachelor’s or master’s degree desirable in Environmental Safety or a closely related field (e.g., industrial engineering, environmental science, or chemistry) from a regionally accredited college or university; if the applicant has an Associate’s degree, he or she must also have a minimum of three years working as a safety director or primary responsibilities for safety (in an industrial setting desirable); interest in alternative instructional delivery methods; excellent written and oral communication skills; other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution; exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration.
