Job Title: Part Time Law Enforcement Academy Instructor (Pool)
Job Summary/Basic Function:

Reports to the Division Chair of Social Sciences and Business; teaches Law Enforcement Academy classes using traditional and alternative delivery methods;

Pay Rate: $25 per contact hour;
Position Type: Part Time Credit
Department: Law Enforcement Academy
Physical Demands:
Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice preferred from a regionally accredited college or university; Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) instructor’s certification preferred; Minimum of three years of non-teaching wage earning experience as a Texas Peace Officer preferred; Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution; Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration;
